Yahoo

...And today was the day it finally ended. I peeked out my window this morning to find glorious blue sky and sunshine after another rainy night. Though the grass was very wet, Laurel and I wasted no time getting outside this morning. My goal was to get a little farther on my new gravel path. However, the weather was so good and I had enough energy, so I finished it. Well... almost.

We went out and bought what I thought was plenty of gravel, only to come up about two sqaure feet short. So it's all but done and will be another long-awaited, sucessfully completed project very soon. I also planted bright impatiens and soft dusty miller along the front flower bed. I'm not really a fan of annuals, but I needed some instant color that would last most of the season.

Meanwhile, everything green looks so much better in the sunshine, which gives it depth and interest.
