How are icicles made? If the water can stay liquid all the way to the end of the ice, how does it freeze and extend the icicle? Why doesn't it just drip off, melting the ice around it? I suppose I could sit and watch this phenomenon happen outside my window today, but I'd rather ask you.

Sorry, no answers on the icicle question but I know you think no one visits your blog so I wanted to prove you wrong. I pop in on occasion when I'm procrastinating bed for who-knows-what reason. I love imagining life at your house and in your town, with the kids and the yard and the co-op, etc. So different from life here...
Hey, what happened to the story line you posted a while ago? I read a couple of paragraphs before I was called away by two angels/devils/hoodlums? and the next time I checked, it was gone.
Yeah, I deleted it for two reasons. 1- I kept revising it, so the draft I posted was out of date and 2- I thought no one had read it. Thanks for the interest- I'll repost the newest version.
