New Low

Gas prices here in my town have gone back to $3.99 per gallon after a high of $4.09. "Yipee", she said with some bitterness.

I'm still getting over the shock of prices climbing up above $2.00 just a few short years ago when we lived in California. $3.99?? Give me a break!

What are prices like in your neck of the woods?

Paula McEldowney here! Gas was $4.38, down from $4.49, when Doug and I left San Diego to spend a week in Sacramento. Going for broke out here!

We run between $4-$5 a gallon when we buy gas on base. But if we did not have the privilege of buying on base, it would be $8 or more a gallon. People here are REALLY feeling the gas pinch and most don't commute that much to begin with. Our bishopric issued a letter in conjunction with the First Presidency's messages asking us to look for ways to carpool and to re-evaluate all church activities. They may limit the frequency of some things, or move their locations, etc., since our ward boundaries are so large.
