Super Food
Blueberry
you are the orb of summer
biggest when the rain comes
gathering dark sugar in your skin
sweetest when the sun comes
first green, pink, purple, and midnight blue

Sweet!
Great photo. We are in blueberry heaven right now. Unfortunately we don't have our own bushes so we are keeping the various orchards and farmstands in business. We are eating a pint a day, that's a $4 a day habit, but it's over so soon I don't mind.
We just hit British strawberry season and it is heavenly. We just finished raspberry season here, and if you wanted one, you had to act fast before Enoch ate them all.
Mmm, blueberries are one of my all time favorite foods. The beginning of this summer Aaron and I discovered this amazing recipe for blueberry peach cobbler and we've probably made it a dozen times already. You basically combine everything worth living in a bowl and let it warm up together. It's perfect with a scoop of pure vanilla ice cream. Hmm, I think I might got make it again now...
I also love that blueberries are a native North American fruit domesticated at the same time as the pawpaw. Sadly the pawpaw lost out to the banana but the blueberry is still going strong.
Well... what's the recipe? I feel like I must make it now, too! I'm so relieved to hear that there's a connection between blueberries and pawpaws. I can't wait to taste one someday, somewhere. They look so yummy. Good luck with the final move- hooray for the end of separations!
